Ssgt. George J. Conaway

A member of Co. E 145 ^th Infantry 37 ^th Division SSgt Conaway was awarded the Silver Star in the taking of Munda Airfield in New Georgia as a member of “Pawlaks Raiders” SSgt Conaway saw action at Bougainville then went on to Luzon where he was Killed in Action in the battle for Manila.
