Harrison County Auditor, Allison Anderson, is proud to announce the 2025 coloring contest for local children to promote the purchase of Dog Licenses this holiday season!
Downloadable Coloring Page: Harrison County Coloring Contest 2025
Participants can get a coloring page by clicking the link above.
Dog Licenses help to protect our additional family members-our dogs-and also help to fund specific resources in our community. The Coloring Contest is open to children in Harrison County from Pre-K to 12th grade until December 6, 2024.
All completed artwork can be submitted to:
1- The Harrison County Auditor, 100 West Market Street, Cadiz, or
2- The Harrison County Dog Pound, 28900 Toot Road, Cadiz.
The colored photos will be on display at the Harrison County Courthouse as a reminder of the importance to have dogs licensed.
Reminders to renew dog tags are sent by the Auditor's Office by mail, but all residents are encouraged to participate in the license program.
All dogs three months old or older, must register or renew their license each year between December 1st and January 31st.
Licenses alert the Dog Warden of official ownership and the owner's contact information, should a dog become lost, or a concern arises.
The license fees help with shelter costs and Dog Warden funds.
There will be three winners of the Dog Tag Coloring Contest, one ages Pre-K to 2nd Grade, one ages 3rd Grade to 6th Grade, and one ages 7th- 12th Grade.
The winners will each receive a free dog tag and a small basket of goodies.
NOTE: To avoid excluding any child, a child who does not own a dog may color likeness of a relative’s dog or a friend or neighbor’s dog.
Questions on the coloring contest or dog licenses, can be directed to the Harrison County Auditor by calling 740-942-8861.
Online Sales of licenses begin December 1st at https://www.doglicenses.us/OH/Harrison/
